Is it possible to revise plans?

Broadly speaking ...

Tutor cancels:

If I cancel I will offer a replacement lesson within 30 days at a mutually convenient time. I will only cancel in extreme situations because I believe consistency is key. In the unlikely event I do cancel and a (ake-up) lesson fails I will refund by deducting the amount from the next invoice.

Student Cancels:

To cancel without penalty, 48 hours notice is required. It cannot be less because I work with students from different time zones and my calendar will not update fast enough otherwise. A  cancelled lesson can be re-scheduled. I will offer some replacement times either via Calendly link or in person. If I teach more than one child of yours you are free to swap them around, but please inform me ahead of time so I can have the work I prepared close to hand.

If you need to reschedule just contact me, and please do not leave it until the last minute. :) Whilst I am somewhat sympathetic and prefer to be flexible, re-scheduling is permitted a maximum of three times in any 12 week period. Otherwise the full fee is due.

Some students are on a schedule that mirrors their school calendar and for them the fee will be payable, whether they attend or not due to the pricing structure. However, if they give sufficient notice I will try to reschedule them depending on my other commitments.

Termination:

If your child is at a school, and reserves a place for regular lessons, the commitment will be until the end of the school term/semester. It will be earlier if they are sitting external exams (e.g. IGCSE / A levels). The last lesson will be the one immediately before their last exam. They may choose to not attend lessons during study leave but the lesson will still be billable and the option of sending me questions they are stuck on and asking  for written help will still be available.

If you are homeschooling the notice period will be 14 days. At the beginning there is quite a heavy investment of time on the part of the tutor, It is necessary in order for them to familiarise themselves with the curriculum and the testing cycles. It would not be good to cancel with immediate effect.
